Glad to hear that local control and teachers are important. Is that what the Secretary of Education believes? I just don't see how the massive collection of data and the funds to support that fits in.
Would assume the Sec of Ed follows the Presidents direction... Not like Dican was an unknown to the president when he picked him... they go back a long way
Reports indicate Duncan was not the President's first choice. Duncan got the nod from Gates and Dept. of Ed staffers, have deep ties to the Gates Foundation.
